After a forty five minute attempt to catch a fish, our bear finally came up with her lunch. A fairly large crowd, by Silver Salmon Creek standards, were watching and cheering her on. Proud of her accomplishment, she paraded past all, showing off her catch before heading off to devour the fish"Lunch"1200,800Direct Sale -

Cruzin' Bear
Lake Clark N.P.,
Alaska
Bears in this region of Alaska have one objective this time of year, to put on as much weight as they can, as fast as they can. Omnivores, their diet consists of Salmon, Clams and grasses found in the tidal plain between the ocean shore and the foothills of the mountains. What these Bears feed on is very dependant on the rise and fall of the tide. I captured this bear Cruzin' during one of these tidal changes.Cruzin' Bear1000,696Direct Sale -
